Translation questions

What is legal translation in the UAE?
Legal translation is the translation of official documents by a translator licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice, for use with courts, ministries and government departments. In most cases the document must be translated into Arabic before an authority will consider it.
Do I need a certified translation or a legal translation?
A certified translation carries the translator's stamp and a declaration of accuracy. A legal translation is produced by a Ministry of Justice licensed legal translator and is what courts and most government bodies ask for. We confirm which one your receiving authority requires before any work starts.
Which languages do you cover?
Arabic and English plus a range of other languages including French, Russian, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, German and Spanish. Send us the language pair and we will confirm availability for your document type.
How long does a translation take?
Turnaround depends on the length of the document, the language pair and the subject matter. We confirm a realistic timeline together with your quote, before work begins.
Will my translation be accepted by the authority?
Acceptance is always the decision of the receiving authority. We prepare translations to the standard those bodies normally require and tell you the requirements we are aware of, but no provider can guarantee a third party decision.
How do you handle confidential documents?
Only the team handling your request can access your documents, and they are used solely for the service you asked for.
